Tyler Shewbert’s Syncretic Stoicism: Focus

There is not a day when I question my poor focus. While I like to think that I am a disciplined person, when it comes to the ability for my mind to focus on a task and not be districted by the world, I repeatedly fail. I believe that improving my focus is a key to improving my peace of mind. I know that being able to let the mind relax and simply focus on my work would free time for contemplation. However, implementing this is harder than it seems. There are a thousand distractions that compete for my attention, and I choose to engage with many of them. It is time to battle these distractions and free myself from their prison.
