Tyler Shewbert’s Syncretic Stoicism: Steadiness

I can find steadiness in the flow of my morning routine. Prayer, mediation, reading, and exercise help ground me for the tasks I will face in the day.

I can find steadiness in the flow of my evening routine. Showering, journalism, meditation, reading quietly in the evening before I go to sleep, winding down free of screens.

I can find steadiness in closing my eyes for a few minutes and clearing my mind of the clutter accumulated throughout the day.

I can find steadiness by maintaining rational control over my emotions and reactions to events that happen to me.
